Desiree is a graduate of Cheyney and Temple Universities, with degrees in elementary education and educational administration. She has 33 years experience with the School District of Philadelphia as a teacher, principal, regional superintendent, and central office administrator. During her career in education, Desiree has been a Fulbright Scholar, a University of Pennsylvania Fellow, and was a teacher of the year nominee.
