What is CEBE?

CEBE – the Center for Evidence-Based Education – is a network of experienced educators, committed to assisting schools, networks of schools, and school districts in improving practice, transforming performance, and eliminating the achievement gap. Using inquiry as strategy, practice-based evidence and leadership as lever (the leadership of administrators, teachers, school board members, parents, students, and other stakeholders) are key to CEBE's evidence-based approach to school improvement.

Focusing on learning, CEBE works to recognize, respect and reconcile the complex dilemmas facing educators today, and to assist them in attending to the detail of transforming their schools and school systems into successful communities of practice. Developing breakthrough practice that enables educators, schools, and school systems to break through from where they are to where they aspire to be, becomes the focus for these communities. Through attention to the purpose, detail, and pace of the work in which they are involved, CEBE assists them in realizing their vision for all students.
